6 Months...

Let me start off by saying that you are the best baby. I may be a little biased but you are so good. Sure you cry when your hungry or tired but over all you are such a good baby. You love to smile and laugh. Daddy's better at getting you to laugh but there are time when all I have to do is look at you and you laugh. I love it!

I can’t believe you’re six months old already. You now weigh 17pds 7oz and you’re 28 inches long! That puts you in the 60% percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for height. I’m a little worried that you went from the 75th to the 60th percentile in weight but the doctor assures me that it’s okay. I typically wouldn’t be worried but you’ve been so sick this past month. You’ve been to the doctor four times in the past three weeks. You had your first ear infection and your first fever. You’ve also been having some intestinal issues. Your doctor has decided to run a couple test to make sure you don’t have an intestinal bacteria. Hopefully the tests come back normal and the medicine they have you on works.

Watching the pups play...

Hanging out in the kitchen with mommy...

This past month you’ve started to show your social side. We started attending WeJoySing, a music class where we sing, play instruments and even dance a little. You seem to really enjoy yourself. Miss Andrea always comments on how much you smile when we sing. You are such a happy baby. This month you also attended your 1st play date. We had a lot of fun. Cole even gave you a few kisses…after he tried out your pacifier. You two seem to be bonding. You also attended two birthday parties: Cole’s first birthday and Zane’s second birthday. During Cole’s birthday you bonded with Mr. Wilson and had fun hanging out with your friends. At Zane birthday you painted a picture for mommy and daddy.

1st Painting...

This month you’ve also started moving around in your crib. We lay you in your crib at night and the next morning your head is at the opposite end. Have I told you how cute you are lately? Absolutely adorable!!

You love your feet...

Rolling over – tummy to back. I never thought this was going to happen. I was actually a little nervous that it was going to take you a while to do this because you didn’t really spent a lot of time on your tummy this past month. With you being sick we really didn’t have the opportunity. You were already miserable. We didn’t want to make it worse. But you did it. You finally did it. We were playing with the pups, I turned away for one second to get the toy from Griswald and that’s when it happened... and I missed it! You were practically touching my leg and I missed it! It’s okay though - I put you back on your belly and you did it for me a couple more times. You even showed your daddy the next evening.

Sitting up –When we sit you up, you try to stiffen your body and lay back down. When you’re lying down, you try to raise your head and legs to sit up. You definitely give your abs a workout! You’re getting better at sitting up though. You can even sit by yourself for a few seconds without falling over. I think you’ll master this skill by the end of this month and when you do we’re calling Aunt Maya for a photo shoot!

Bath time is a whole new experience these days. We took the net out of your infant tub. You’re now able to kick and splash. You love it. I can’t wait to start swim lessons next month.

Other exciting things that happened this month:

1. You met Kasey and Kyle for the first time

2. Visited with Will, Mandy and Grace – You loved Grace. I've never heard you laugh so much.
3. You started holding your bottle
4. Your teeth are starting to show when you smile
